Oct 22, 2012 1:32 PM in response to stufromhalifaxby BDAqua,In the Finder do a Get Info on it & see if it's Locked or what rights it says you have on that source.
Have you tried dragging it to your Shared folder or where?

Oct 22, 2012 2:02 PM in response to BDAquaby stufromhalifax,Get info says I have read and write privileges. I'm moving it from my iMac to the public folder on a G5 Mac.
I can't open the file at all on the G5 but it does open on the iMac.
This is an M4A file-- can G5s not open them? I just tried the same operation with an MP3 file and I could open it with the G5.
