Why does Java 7 hate PowerSchool Gradebook?

I have submitted a report to Oracle about this. Am trying to get contact info for PS to tell them.

From the archives here, it seems that PS Gradebook not running with Java 7 has been documented since @end of September. This situation is doubleplusungood. I understand Apple wanting to push people to updated versions of Java, and to not have to be responsible for updating software.

BUT-----for the love of Cthulu, PLEASE make sure that what you're pushing us toward actually works! This is a problem that I really, really don't need as the quarter winds down and I have to revert my OS via TimeMachine (taking 5 hours +).

I have not been a happy camper since Thursday.

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.4.11)

I, too, got caught between Oracle and Apple and Pearson. Apple is losing a lot of goodwill ... when the product and support stops meeting my needs ... I need to look for other products. I need Powerschool .... when will we get a solution or is my solution another platform?

That made me nervous. All I'd have to do is to mess up one letter and *poof* (with my luck). I went into Time Machine and went back to before I installed 8.2. Then I turned automatic updates OFF.

I have a PS Gradebook again.
