I will be watching this thread closely. I purchased a new Mac book Air in August, mine is doing the same thing.
I am very happy with the Air, other than this small inconvenience.
Mine is doing the same thing, although I accidentally deleted the "error code" to send to Apple and now it just asks me to report the problem with nothing in the field. I haven't a clue why this is. This is my first Mac and not quite comfortable in "playing" around with the settings, etc like I would have been with Microsoft! 😉 Hopefully someone can answer this question!
Sorry to see two others have this problem, I have not found an answer yet. Have just done updates and my machine is just out of warranty. This started afer last update was installed. Am hoping next update will fix as I do not want to pay for apple support for a near new machine purchased March 12. Hope some can help me.
Had the same problem with my macbook pro. The issue was with the graphic card chip which is on the main motherboard, so I had to change the whole motherboard. Apple was doing this free of charge for me, if your laptop is less than 3 years old!
Now, no more problems. Before I tried all software resets possible. Reinstall, etc.
