my mac is not updating to the newest version

I have 10.6.8 version I need the 10.7.4 newest software for school. I would like to update my software to purchase keynotes. Please help!!!!

If you're using a Core Duo Mac, contact the Mac App Store support for assistance or find and purchase an iWork 09 DVD.

If you're using a Core 2 Duo or better Mac, purchase Mac OS X 10.8 from the Mac App Store. If that's incompatible with the computer, phone the online Apple Store and order a download code for 10.7.

im gonna try your suggestion. i believe iwork 09 dvd maybe all but will call app store and inquire. im nervous about purchasing tho. seems like a lot of money whenever i need something for this computer. college expenses really add up quick!

Hey Niel

I am trying to get Keynotes. And it keeps saying could not complete your puchase and says need version 10.9. How do I get Keynotes I have version 10.7.5 core i7. Would I have to do the same thing. look for a dvd. but I already have pages and numbers so seems to be a bit of a poitless. What should I do
