iSync password not remembered in keychain

I have a .mac acct. I use Mac mail, and I have a limited user acct for my wife. I recently had to do a clean and complete reinstall on both my desktop (PowerMac G4, non-Intel) and my iBook becuse of some funky password issues. Mail is still messed-up: continually asks for passwords for each mail acct to iSync, never remembers passwords for Sync-ing in keychain, and continually tells both accts that we're not connected even though we are. Any ideas, fixes, Steve J's home phone number?

G-4 Mac OS X (10.4.5)

iSync issues seem to be resolved, but not the Keychain ones. I posted that query elsewhere.

love to know if you get this sorted - your entry on .mac sync issues exactly describes my experiences - pls mail me directly at stayathomedad@mac.com if you learn more, as I suspect the level of MIB 'moderating the .mac team has to employ means a lot of the 'criticism' and useful alternative fixes get 'moderated' if you know what I mean ! I am subscribed but they have locked I guess because they are sick of the slagging they were receiving !

Like the rest of you, I'm having all these problems ... and more. First, it all seemed to start with my downlowd and install of 10.4.6. (I read that 10.4.7 is due out in about a month. Let's hope someone at Apple gets it right.) I'm also having major problems with my keychains: nothing gets saved, and I am continually prompted to re-enter passwords for all manner of things, including keychain access. This includes my .mac password, which results in sync failures, notices that I'm not registered, etc. Finally, I routinely get mirroragent failures preventing shut-down. I've subscribed to this forum and look forward to getting some suggestions, including with respect to the keychain & other issues I mentioned.

Hope you get this one. I'm perplexed at the "lock" on this topic, too. What's up with that??

In any event, not sure this will solve your problem, but I finally gave up and went into Keychain access and manually entered each-and-every site and password for each of them. So far, no problems. I'm still having funky problems with iSync, but the 10.4.7 due next month is supposed to have a fix, so I'll sit tight and see what happens.
