My new iPhone 5 Does not want to connect to my mail and I have tried checking the servers and it seems to only work well when there is wifi but not when the 3G is working. I have tried reseting phone and deleting my email and putting it back in and it still has a hard time connecting on 3G but it does on a few occasions.

I am facing the same problem on my iPhone 5.
The mail app was working fine today at 9am SGT, but after that, i can't received any email, regardless on wifi, 3G, or LTE connection. Rebooted my phone but still facing same problem.
Any one have idea how to fix this?

1.) Settings
2.) General
3.) Reset
4.) Reset Network Settings
Tada! Problem solved. No idea what caused this issue in the first place but I am glad its fixed.
So, bad news. This was a temporary fix. I took my phone into the Apple store and they replaced it.
So far so good. Still a headache overall.
This worked for me (as of this moment). I had the same problem as everyone else--the mail app worked just fine, until it didn't. I've only had the phone four weeks, so it seems to me it ought to work perfectly. I'm a little disappointed to have problems already. Still, this solution worked. If it happens again, though, I'll take it back to the store.
