Q: Server App and Profile Manager disagreement

I'm after some help and advice on the above topic.

I have just done a fresh install of Mountain Lion along with OSX Server. I have configured OD etc and then bound server to AD.

When I go into the server app, I can see all my AD users and groups (and who is in those groups) so my mac server can see AD etc.....

When I go into Profile Manager, I can see my AD users and groups, but Profile Manager tells me there are no members in my AD groups, eventhough the server app can see them.

Has anyone come across this before and if so, is this normal or is somthing not quite right?

Hi,

I have the same issue, very frustrating. Using a Win 2003 AD and 10.8.2 server and clients. If i use WGM I can see all users and groups correctly, but Server.app and Profile Manager does not show them correct.

Strange that we see issues like this since Profile Manager has been around for a while, really interested to hear other peoples experiences.

Hi, i've fixes the 'Bug'...

If the Users are only within "Domain Users" they are not visiible. Create a new Group, put your Users in there and you can see it in Profile Manager. To use them with Profile Manager you have to allow the Group in Server.app.
