Im editing a video and when im playing it back only some of the clips show in the canvas, the rest are fine and the audio is playing fine also. Some of the clips that are not playing are the ones i edited to be split screen, might i have plessed something accidently?

A screenshot would be helpful - if possible showing the timeline, viewer and inspector for a clip that is not playing as you expect.
You seem to be using Final Cut Pro 7 (or earlier). This forum is for Final Cut Pro X.
You should ask your question in the Final Cut Studio forum.
Luis is correct of course. You are in the wrong forum, but it looks as if you have the viewer in wireframe mode. W key if I remember correctly. Don't ever do that.
