Anybody else having trouble with Microsoft Office 365 on Mac OS X 10.8.2?

I've set up two separate Office 365 accounts for two separate clients and configured multiple users in each account. All users are on Mac OS X 10.8.2, and I configured each account the "Mail, Contacts & Calendars" module in System Preferences. The set up process worked flawlessly.

Additionally I've set up each user on at least iOS 6 device (most have both an iPhone and an iPad, however). Again, I set it up using "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" in Settings.

There are a fair number of problems that all users are having with Office 365, but the most disruptive one is with mail. Users report that they can see some, but not all, email messages on their various devices. Testing indicates that if a message is initially received on one device, it cannot be viewed on others. For example, if a message is first received on a desktop Mac, it is not visible or accessible on an iOS device; conversely, if a message is first received on an iOS device, it is not viewable or accessible on a desktop Mac.

Are there any other people out there using Office 365 with Macs and iOS devices having problems? Conversely, are there any other people not having problems?

Also, I'm wondering if is aware of a way to "force" either mail client to sync with an Exchange server

3 iMacs, I used autodiscover on all 3 and they worked. All modules. I will have to go to the clients to find the actual settings, all I had to do was enter the address supplied and the password, nothing else. The iMacs were new (10.8.1) and had no other accounts but I will check the server settings and post back.

My own machines also use a hosted Exchange, but connect using EWS rather than ActivSync.

Csound1. Just because your machines work, does not mean that all do. How is that helpful? My machine worked fine for months and now updates in Exchange are not turning up on the Mac yet they do show on ipad etc. As it was working fine for months it is clearly nothing to do with set up. The same happened when I ran Office on the Mac. Worked well, then stopped.

Many, many people have had this problem on these forums so clearly there are some issues with some Macs that are not being resolved. There was one IT guy on the MS 365 forum who was running dozens of identical machines and he could not identify why he had problems on some machines and not others.

The whole point of Exchange and Apple is surely that individuals can use it without IT support. Indeed, Apple has an Exchange set up on Mail so they clearly think that it should work too. Email should be the first thing that Apple gets working... it's not exactly rocket science is it?

It relies on the autodiscover being correct, if it isn't you will have to set it manually. Do you have the server addresses for 365?

Typically, you only need to enter 'm.outlook.com' as the server address and it will resolve from there (Droid, iOS, PC). On Macs running Lion, I've had to use bl2prd0810.outlook.com (note: This may be different for other O365 users) and it works. Macs running Mountain Lion give me the same response no matter what server link I use: "Unable to communicate with the server". Yet if I open that link in Safari, it reroutes to the OWA with no issues whatsoever.

Someone must like it 🙂 they will benefit (although MS only managed Mobile Me support after Mobile Me closed)

Office 11 is horrid, I am MS free except for Excel 2007 for Windows which I keep on an external Windows PC, I RDC into it when I need it. The 2011 is completely unable to run any of my VBS sheets from Excel for Windows, and they represent years of work. I have no need of anything but a very basic Word Processor, and Bean does that well (I have Pages but it's cumbersome for the things I do)

I lied, my Mac is not completely free, I use Microsft RDC to get to the copy of Excel on the PC.
