I have seen this subject mentioned a hundred times but have still not figured out what to do and am totally confused...this is how my system looks at present.

The best is what works for your needs. Try the above and if a site doesn't work for you turn on the off stuff one at a time and reload the site. Personally I find that just leaving 'Enable Java' off the best.
