How do I remove applications that are too old that will not install?

I have newer versions of iMovie and iPhoto that came with the MBP retina that I just recently bought. These two applications keep showing up as being updates to my old computer but not the MBP. Is there a way to get rid of them so that I don't get bothered with these updates. Help is appreciated. Thank you.

I guess I my question was incorrect. My apologies. I need to remove old applications in the automatic updates from the App Store. The MBPR came with newer versions 11 of iPhoto and iMovie, yet the old iPhoto and iMovie updates version 9 are always showing up as updates that can be installed. I used to have them on my old mac which I no longer have. How do I remove these old versions from app store updates? I do not have them listed in the purchased area nor are they hidden.
