Make sure your ipod is not locked, try a different usb port, try a different charge cord. Also try putting it in disk mode Hope this helps

Oh sorry my bad I was thinking nano, well try restarting iPod by holding both home button and top button until the screen does black
try getting a new recharger cord because maybe the one you are using has a problem
The cable is probably broken. Get a new one and that should fix it. If not try cleaning the charging port out.
😕 Is it updated to ios6+?(check for update), Cause if its not, it will not let you charge it from a computer and it's not charging try charging it into a wall adaptor. Hoped it helped!
I took my daughters phone in for this issue they cleaned out charging port and handed it right back no problems since.
I have a simliar problem. When i connect my phone to the charger, it wont charge at all but my percentage of battery life will go down. How do I fix this?
