My disk is a few hours away in my home town, I don't have a way of getting it and I really need to download new software to finish a homework assignment, for whatever reason I have no idea what I made my Admin password -_- is there anyway I can reset it without the disk?

From what I see in this Apple KB article you need the disk if you are running 10.6.8 and down. Not so if you use 10.7 or 10.8.
