Morning everyone,

Well what can i say, the title says it all.

When browsing Facebook with Safari (version 6.0.1) after about 10 minutes or so, Safari becomes very unresponsive, massive slow down, freezing, beachballing etc, any other sites im on whilst the Facebook tab is open also suffers too,

I use google chrome and its absolutely fine, so 2+2 being 5, im guessing its an issue with my Safari, maybe an installed plug in or something.

Any help resolving this would be greatly appreciated.

Its on a Macbook Pro Retina running ML 10.8.2

(Bit new to the mac so please be gentle ;-))

thanks

Scotty

From your Safari menu bar (top of your screen) click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.

    Deselect:  Enable plug ins

Quit and relaunch Safari. If that helped, then follow the instructions for troubleshooting plugins here.

And also try deleting the cache and cookies.

Back to the menu bar, click Safari > Reset Safari

Select:  Clear History  (also empies the cache)

Now go to Safari > Preferences again then select the Privacy tab.

Click:  Remove All Website Data  (deletes cookies)

Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
