A small addition to Léonie's spot-on answer: it may help to go to "Metadata➞Edit Autofill List" and delete the incorrect entry if it is there.
And note that after you have found and corrected the source of the error, you can use "Metadata➞Batch Change" to correct it. Be careful: Batch Change is powerful and may be impossible to undo. Confirm that it is doing what you want and only what you want on one or a small group of Images before applying it to any large group.
spot-on, Kirby!
Well -- probably not: in this case it really seems like the error is batch-applied, etc., but I thought I might as well throw that in as it has helped others in the past 🙂 .
So how do I change the entire database at once? So far I have changed the preset and set it right?
Metadata->Batch Change is the command you want. This will apply changes to all selected images in the library.
BTW the field you are talking about here is not EXIF data but IPTC. THis is an important distinction because Aperture will allow you to add and edit IPTC data but will not allow you to change EXIF data.
To quickly find all images with the wrong Address for batch changing:
Make a new smart album:
File > New > Smart Album,
and in the "Smart Settings" HUD add the rule:
IPTC > Contact Address > Includes and enter "257" into the text field.
Then select all images in this album and go to "Metadata > Batch Change" as Frank Caggiano explained and select to "Add Metadata from" your modified metadata preset. Use "replace" and not "append".

Léonie
