screen gets locked at a weird zoom
On second day of unboxing my iphone 5 my iphone screen got stuck in an odd zoom %. At some point during switching back and forth between apps and main screen, the main screen became a little larger than the 4-inch screen allowed and wouldn't zoom back to fit the screen. It was cutting all four sides of the screen, and i noticed the screen was also moving very slowly up and down. At this point, it was just a little annoyance and a slight concern, but everything worked fine. I gave it the benefit of the doubt. After letting the phone go black for a while, the screen came back to normal.
Three days later, the same thing happend again. Except this time the zoom was highly noticeable. In fact, the screen was stuck at about 300% zoom. The clock filled my screen left to right, and couldn't get the phone to unlock because the slide bar was wider than the screen. This also meant i couldn't reboot the phone either. I hoped that the phone would come back to its normal state if i left it go black for a while again. but no, it wouldn't come back. I later figured out that i can navigate through the screen by touching the edges of the screen and eventually was able to unlock the phone to reboot.
I have tried to search through the web and the apple discussions but have not yet found a report that seem to match mine.
