How do i reach the startmgr?

When pressning the opt key during startup i don't get redirected to the startup manager. Instead it takes me to "choose network" and "internet recovery". Does anyone know how to reach the startupmgr?

I'm using 10.8 on a MacBook Pro

That is the startup manager. Your hard drive is not being seen, as it may be failing or already failed.
