I forgot security questions' answers plus had no rescue address plus had no credit card number on file. Phoned Apple Support (international call in the middle of the night!) and received brilliant service from Derek and Ken. They were polite and kind and helped me quickly and efficiently. Prob sorted and now can buy apps on new iPhone. Very happy with Apple!

If any of you guys still need help this was how I resolved my issue. 🙂 If someone else had the same solution, well maybe someone will have read my one and gotten help!


After emailing Apple Support, I was told to contact the Apple Security Team by contacting them via phone.

You can contact the Account Security team here:

1) Go to https://expresslane.apple.com/GetproductgroupList.action

2) Choose iTunes > iTunes Store

3) Account Management > Lost or Forgotten Apple ID password (even if this is not the issue you have to choose this option to get the Account Security Team any other option will send you back to email support)

- If you will be asked to provide more information, provide a brief statement and click Continue.

4) Under Choose the iTunes Store or App Store for your country, choose Other and then in the next box, choose your country and click Continue.

5) Press continue, you will be given the option to Talk to Apple Support Now, Schedule a Call or Call Apple Later (If busy only the Schedule a Call or Call Apple Later will appear). Please choose either the "Talk to Apple Support Now" or "Schedule a Call" to have an Account Security advisor call you.

This will save you from being charged the international rates when calling the American Applecare technical support team.


I'm from a country outside the US so I scheduled a call. I just got off the phone with a friendly advisor, who fixed my problem in no time! Like literally 5 minutes or under. And I did NOT have to give credit card details or any of that. And it didn't matter if I didn't get any of the questions right this time round, either.


Basically, he asked me basic stuff like Apple ID and contact number, then he asked me to guess answers to the 3 questions again and I did that. I got them wrong because I had already tried numerous times but that was fine. Then I was asked the serial number of one of my Apple devices. And then he led me through logging into manage my apple ID, and clicking on the Temporary Support Pin and I read that out to him. After that, I logged out and in again, and was able to choose new questions and answers, and this time round provide a rescue email address for further use.


This is probably the easiest way if you can't be bothered putting in credit card details and deleting it. I haven't tried that, but for some I guess it worked. I was hesitant to go through the hassle of calling them too but now I can purchase to my heart's content! It's worth it 🙂
