How can I turn off the trackpad when I have a wireless mouse?

I was told that I can turn off the internal trackpad on my Mac when I install an apple mouse. I have installed the mouse but do not see any way of turning off the trackpad. I have a MacBook Pro 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5 early 2011.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)

System preferences -> Universal access -> Mouse & TrackPad -> Trackpad Options -> Ignore built-in Trackpad when wireless mouse or trackpad is present

I recently got a Macbook Pro from work. Universal access doesn't seem to be an available option. However, it was accessible through the "Accessibility" options. By the way, choosing to turn trackpad off when a wireless mouse is attached works even with a Microsoft wireless mouse plugged in. (I use windows machines at home, so have lots of wireless mice for windows machines.)
