where are my tracks going once I import the cd? there used to be a icon called "recently added", that has dissapeared and I can't retrieve my songs!

Help! I used to have an icon "recently added" on my menu, so when I imported a cd, after taking out the cd, my tracks would dissapear, then I would just go to this icon and there they would be, and I would drag them to my chosen playlist. Now I cannot "find" the tracks anywhere! HELP !
