System Fonts Suddenly Conflict with my Suitcase Font Sets -- HELP?

Suddenly I get a message when using Suitcase (and trying to activate any set of fonts) that There are conflicts with my system fonts and to resolve I must manage my system fonts using Suitcase. Nothing about my set up (fonts, OS, etc) has changed in YEARS -- so why all of a sudden is this an issue?

More importantly: I did as was instructed and pulled all my system fonts into a set using Suitcase and now text everywhwere (internet, dialog boxes, etc) is wonky looking.

Any ideas on how to fix?? Thanks!

I never used Suitcases, but maybe one of these suggestions might help.

Maybe you PRAM battery needs replacing. If you've neve replaced your PRAM battery, and you don't know what battery you need, try this link:

If you select a specific battery shown, it will tell you what iMacs they fit. OWC (macsales) is a great vendor, but you can probably find the battery you need from Walmart, Walgreen's, CVS, etc. Depending on what model you iMac you have, you may or may not be able to replace it yourself.

Did you try running Disk Utility and Repair Disk Permissions?

Start-up using your install CD/DVD, don't run the OS install when the menu pops up to install OS, click the on Utilities in the top Menu bar. Then select Disk Utility. On the left hand side of the window that opens, select you normal start-up disk (Macintosh HD unless you've changed it's name). Then in the lower middle of the window click on Repair Disk Permissions. You might want to run Repair Permissions a couple of times.

While your at it, you might want to run Repair Disk also.

I don't know if these will help, but are a couple of possible suggestions.
