Trying to use my WindowsXP version with my 27-in. iMac, and I can't see seem to locate the Windows XP, except under the vmware application and it posts this msg: "

I have Windows XP installed on my IMac but can't seem to find it except under VMware and then it has this error message: There is no application set to open the document “Windows XP Professional-s001.vmdk”. How do I get Windows XP to work? Should I purchase a whole new Windows pkg? Also, my computer came with Bootcamp Assistant, so is this as good a partition as vmware? What does anyone know about the new Windows 8 coming out next week and how it works on a Mac!
