App store wont let me purchase final cut pro X ? Dont you want my money?

Mac book pro 2.6GHZ intel core duo

I have final cut 7 on this machine already and wanted to purchase final cut pro X so I went to the app store went through the whole process and then it stoped at a banner that said final cut pro is already installed on this machine use update, So I tried that multiple times with no luck at all. So finaly I just install the final cut pro trial and that worked great. I speant the last month earning the new program without any problems but now the trial has expired and here I am again trying to purchase the program and I am back to the same old stupid loop, it wont let me purchase the program becuse it is already installed, I dont want to delete final cut 7 becuse I still use it. So what do I do.

Or if you already paid your money (and the transaction went through), then uninstall it, then open the App Store and go to "Purchases." From there, you can re-install it.

If you do this today (tonight), you may experience some lag time. The App Store is really busy today/tonight with a lot of people downloading new software. Apple released updates today to Final Cut Pro X, Motion 5, Compressor and iBooks Author. There are probably a gazillion downloads happening now.

Of course the other thing toconsider is that the Appp store will not let you purchase/download to your machine if it does not meet the minimum specs required. Check your graphics card against the minimum specs.
