Can I use my pages documents on Microsoft word on my pc

I am using pages for school work but have of laptop. Are my pages documents compatible?

iPad, iOS 6

Yes you can save a Pages document in Word format. There may be, and probably will be some formatting issues but you can do it. With the document open in Pages .....

Tap on the wrench icon in the upper right corner.

Select Share and Print

Select Email Document or Copy to iTunes (if you use File Sharing)

From the resulting pop up Window save the file in Word format.

You can email the document to yourself or use iOS File Sharing to send the document to iTunes and from there drag or save it to your desktop computer.
