Just received my first ever iPhone, a 5.
WOW! That's all I can say.
A question please.
How can I set a time delay for sending text messages.

I want to know the same answer how to delete texts sending anyone out there know how?
First of all, iPhone is very secure compared to the Nokia.
Another thing you need to understand is all apps on iPhone are sandboxed,
meaning one app cannot mess around another app space/memory (that's how virus, malware, etc...works)
So to your point, you can prepare the message then set a reminder to send when you want, problem solved.
This solution assumes one is ready and able to send a message at the time for which the reminder is set. At this moment, I am awake at almost 5 AM and planning soon to get to sleep. I want to send someone a text message asking if she would like to have a late lunch with me. But I'm concerned the sound of the message arriving to her phone will disturb her sleep at this time. I would rather the message were sent and received at 9 AM, when I'll be sleeping. And I can think of many other reasons a person might like to delay the sending of a message to a time that they will be unable to respond to a reminder and press the "send" button.
Well I've tried all of the apps that say they do, but NONE offer the facility of automatically sending the text at the time specified, and not popping up a reminder screen telling me to post the message. Aaarg.
The only one that said it could, couldn't.
So anyone looking for an App that does, please don't waste your time or money buying ANY. They DON'T work.
Prove me wrong someone, please.

Why, because my 10 year old Nokia Virgin Feature phone CA! and from day one!!
Is it really beyond Apple's ability to provide something my ancient phone has always been able to do?

Come on Apple or one of the App developers, sort this out please!
