iMac G5 restarts automaticly

Hi

Since 10.4.6 my iMac G5 restarts like a ghost after shut down. So when I shut down; the systems shuts down. But after minutes and sometime around midnight the machine starts itself... I have a login menu and this is where the startup ends. So no account is started automaticly.

I checked my login items, but cannot see any script or app which should start the Mac.

Hi Albert,

This could be caused by a connected USB device, or an item in /library/startup Items or shutdown Items folders. Also check in System Preferences >> Accounts >> login items.

Disconnect all USB devices, including keyboard and mouse and any USB hubs and power down the your Mac by holding the power button. Test it overnight.
Don't forget to reconnect keyboard and mouse before powering up again.
