There are many upgrades I can't make because my version of Mac OS X is too old.
I'd like to benefit from the latest updates possible.

After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.

An iMac with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor can upgrade to OS X 10.7 Lion. If your iMac is a mid-2007 or newer model, you can further upgrade to OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. For either Lion or ML, you'll need a minimum of 2GB of memory, with 4GB recommended.
You'll want to start an upgrade by the first upgrade to OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, which requires 1GB of memory. You get the DVD by calling the online Apple store, which in the US is 800-MY-APPLE, and order it for $19.99.
To upgrade to Lion, call the online Apple store again to buy a code which you use in the App store (accessible once you install OS X 10.6 and upgrade to 10.6.6 or above).
If you choose to upgrade to Mountain Lion, once you install OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, you can access the App store and upgrade directly from there. You do not need Lion to go to Mountain Lion.

I have upgraded my Mac to OS X 10.8.
I had the illysion my computer would stop freezing for any reason, at any time.
Sadly enough, it doesn't stop, and I'm forced to quit applications, reboot...
Any suggestion?
