Battery isn't drained yet (but very close to). i need to be able to charge it in a few hours. Help?
iPod touch, iOS 5.0.1
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
it can't be detected by iTunes though. I mean it doesn't even register on My Computer and iTunes.
Did you try resetting the iPod
Placing the iPod in recovery mode and
placing the iPod in DFU mode to see if those will make the iPod appear in iTunes
Did you try letting the battery fully drain and then after charging for at least an hour try those again?
I can't put it in DFU because everytime I plug the usb on the pc, the Apple logo comes on and automatically turns the iPod on..
Are you doing this for DFU mode:
Step 1: Turn off your iPod touch / iPhone completely and connect to PC / mac
Step 2: Hold down the Power button for 3 seconds
Step 3: Without releasing the power button, also hold the Home button for 10 seconds
Step 4: Without releasing the home button, release the power button and keep holding the Home button for 20 seconds.
Itunes will identify that you are in DFU mode.

My iPod Touch 4th gen cannot be detected by my computer and iTunes, but the Apple logo comes on whenever I plug/unplug it from the pc.
