I'm not at my limit. Why can't I authorize my laptop?

Itunes is saying I'm at my maximum authorizations when only TWO are computers and three are devices. If TEN is the limit (5 of which can be computers), why can't I authorize my MacPro?

Okay... I think I just discovered something...

Under the "account info", where it says "manage devices"... This is where I thought my "authorized" devices were listed. According to another thread, this is not the same thing. This is a list of devices that automatically download purchases. There is no way to view what computers are authorized (LAME), which is why you need to "deauthorize all" and then reauthorize the ones you need.

Is this correct?? Will anything bad happen if I deauthorize my devices?
