Set preferences for imported stills to be 1 second.
Drag a still from the board to the storyline, you get a still one second long.
Drag more than one still at a time and all my stills are 8 seconds long.
Oops.
Does anyone know a way around this?
I have thousands of stills to import, hmph.

The one second preference is not an importing preference, but a selection preference. If you select multiple clips you're not making a selection on each one, but selecting the whole clip.
Put them in the timeline, select them, price Control-D, dial in the duration you want.
Yes sorry, I mean dragging from the imported folder, not importing.
