as far as i can tell it doesn't but i'm hoping i'm missing something.
if it doesn't, I guess i'll have to use a 3rd party adaptor via USB, but this makes it a bit impractical for my uses 😟

yeah i'm familiar with the comnbination port.
but the specs for the new 13-inch with retina display doesnt state that it has a compination port. that's why i'm asking if it has one.
the link you posted doesnt include the new 13-inch in its list.

from that link i can only assume that the audio port is no longer a combination port and no longer supports input. which would seem an odd backwards step.
i guess i'll check when i go to the store.
a 3rd party adaptor isnt the end of the world of course. its just an extra thing to have to take with me.
does the new 13-inch macbook pro with retina display have a combined audio output/input?
