There have been a number of discussions about it, and on another forum I read that Apple is supposed to be addressing it with an update of iOS 6, 6.0.1. It is supposed to be in the hands of the carriers for testing. Until then, you can try this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559 and see if that helps.
thankyou so much, do this mean it should be fixed when apple release software update and my iphone is not broken? because i recently bought it and I dont want to leave basd feedback for the shop if its the sofwares fault
same as i, i was shocked when i can no longer connect using my wifi, what is worst is that when i tried to turn my wifi off i can no longer turn it on....i tried to restore it but it is still the same...how can i turn it on and connect...;(
😟😢

It is possible since the article I read indicated it is supposed to address the wifi problem. Did you try the support document I provided and did it do anything? If you just got the phone, it will be in warranty for some time. If the rumored update does not fix the problem, you can still bring it in for warranty replacement.
Oh, thanx for help! I thought, that I've got a problem with hardware, like broken Wi-Fi module or something else...
By the way, do you have any idea of when iOS 6.0.1 will be available to download?
When Apple announces it. Have not seen anything other than it being tested.
Yes I did try everything and had no luck. The phone is second hand so I can't get it fixed :( it worked fine 3 days ago before I updated to iOS 6. It must be a software issue in the UI
hey guys, how did your problem solve after all???
I have the same one, one year later and with ios 7.0.3
best,
I don't think it is a software issue, rather a hardware one as described here: http://transfer-iphone-contacts.blogspot.com/2013/07/iphone-wifi-greyed-out.html
While it may not be greyed-out, the switch is untouchable which is basically the same problem.
