Mysterious magnifying glass
I suddenly have a a rectangular magnifying glass on my screen. It moves with my cursor. Where did it come from and how do I remove it? It's driving me nuts!

I found this solution on a community board in Apple Support:
Hold down Option and Command. Hit 8 key - magnifying glass appears. Hit 8 again, it vanishes. You can set up the operation in system preferences, Accessibility under System. Tap Zoom under Seeing on the left, then check the Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom; you'll see Toggle Zoom on the first line with the symbols for Option and Command and the 8 key. That'll turn the magnifying glass on and off. If you don't want to use it at all, just uncheck the Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom box.

Go to System Preferences -> Accessibility, select Zoom in the list on the left, click the More Options button, and uncheck the box that says "Show preview rectangle when zoomed out."
My Zoom More Options doesn't have "Show preview rectangle when zoomed out" box to uncheck!
