Where can I go from Mac OS X 10.5.8? Just bought the Iphone 5 which Itunes needs 10.6.8 or later to run on, what's the best step?

Hello! I know I'm really behind on all this guys, but I just need the quickest and easiest way to update to a suitable 10.6.8 or later from Mac OS X 10.5.8. I've searched "Software update" loads of times but it says i'm up to date...which isn't a good sign! Do I need to leap over to one of the bigger cats here?

I just got my Iphone 5 this morning and it's only now my lack of upgrading is becoming an issue! Help please!

Thanks very much!

The first step in Upgrading... is to Snow Leopard = OS X 10.6.x

It is Not available as a download...

Do this first...

Check that your Mac meets the System Requirements for Snow Leopard...

Snow Leopard Tech Specs

http://support.apple.com/kb/SP575

If so Contact Apple in your Country to Purchase a Snow Leopard Disc...

http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57

In the US...

1-800-MY-APPLE or 1-800-676-2775

After the Successful Install, run Software Update to get the latest updates for Snow Leopard.

Be sure to make a Backup of your Current System Before Upgrading...
