Sharing between my mini & my powerbook

I just bought a 2G Ipod and I have a mini with 247 songs in library and a Powerbook with a smaller library of Itune songs. I can't figure out how to get the mini library over to the Powerbook. I have tried a firewire cable - no response and have tried exporting the library from the mini to an aux. hd - no success. Please help! I am going to Greece on Tuesday and want to take my Powerbook and Ipod with me - want all my songs in both.

You cannot transfer from ipod to the PB via the Apple software. You need an after market program like PodWorks. There are others.

Or get a copy of TinkerTool and set it to "show invisibles/folders". That way when you plug in the iPod you will see the folders on the iPod and you can drag the files back to the PB.

Another alternative for iPod transfer would be PodUtil. Updated version was released at the end of March. Works really well.
