Need help on setting outgoing mail for my android 4.0.3 for my HTC Sensation 4G phone

Why would Apple want you to use icloud if you do not seem to be using Apple products?

I am having the same issue. I use my HTC for work but it was nice to be able to send emails from my .mac account.

Your problem is that you have the Security type set to 'none'. SSL is required. These are the server settings:

SMTP (outgoing mail server) information:

• Server name: smtp.mail.me.com
• SSL Required: Yes
• Port: 587
• SMTP Authentication Required: Yes
• Username: example@me.com (use your @me.com address from your iCloud account)
• Password: Your iCloud password

Note: If you receive errors using SSL, try using TLS instead.

The problem is that HTC automatically changes the Port number form 587 to 443. Most people think it should be what the phone changes it to. But since apple is apple they want to use port 587 with SSl security.
