i ask how can i fix this i charge battery and it is new i bought this year and magsafe it seems not to charge i have the old t shape

i bought batter this year to my old macbook white 13 second time now. magsafe not charging it shows a fork symbol on battery when charging and it is the magsafe t shape i need to know if i should get the l shape t shape of magasafe not working for me
