How did you purchase it?

The product itself is not much more than the code and instructions. If you don't have the code, it sounds like you don't yet have the product.

You will have to contact Apple to find out the policy on an sort of "grace period" between purchase date and activation date.

I guess if you can prove that you have purchased the apple care protection plan by handing in an invoice or receipt, there will be no problem activating it with the help of the hotline.

Curious to know I apple honored your apple care extension. My iPod ac expired in last jan and I didn't receive any notification of expiration. Thx.

this was helpful however when i called apple about it I was told they don't do apple care extensions. I can pay $20 for a one issue fee if I wanted help.

Don't count on it. Mine expired on Jan 20 and I was told I had to pay the $19.99 fee to get any help on apple care phone support.
