And I find no knowledge base from Apple about this. Anyone else having this problem? The fix for OS X 10.6 does not work because iTunes cannot be deleted or revised - it is now required for 10.8.

Same issue here with an iPad2 in iTunes 10.7 and Mac OS 10.8.2. Have tried everything already, but nothings helps solve it. iTunes shows my iPhone though.
That document was not helpful...it did not refer to a wireless connection.
Article no help. No such line in daemons thing and it will not allow me to drag iTunes to trash.
