This is a real nit pick but after coming from Linux and Windows this is a minor annoyance.
After the MBP boots up, the mouse cursor is in the top left corner. Is there a way to have it start in the center of the screen? It just seems more logical to be in the middle where it will be closer to the login screen.
Don't use the mouse to log in, it only slows the process down. Use the down arrow key to select the user, type in the necessary password and hit the Return key. No need to even touch the mouse and your hands are on the keyboard to enter the password anyway.
