iChat using Livebox router (Wanadoo France ISP)

This is a 'long shot' query but here goes! I am moving to France in the summer. Earlier this year I had difficulties in the UK iChatting with a relative whose ISP is Wanadoo Spain because of the router he was using but these were solved with the help of Ralph Johns and iBosie (thanks again guys!). Wanadoo France offers an all-singing, all-dancing wireless router called 'Livebox', allegedly compatible with Macs. Does anyone know whether that router causes any difficulty using iChat? Forewarned, forearmed and all that...

1.67GHz PowerPC G4 Mac OS X (10.4.6)

Hi Bob,

Avoid Alcatels with version 5 firmware. (585 and anything ending in 6 will catch most) List here. Click on device name and then check which Firmware is on offer.
