My ipod has a crack on the side inbetween the back and the front of my Ipod, there is light coming from is showing its broken and it might come apart. I have a warranty on my Ipod but I havn't got the receipt. Could i still get my Ipod fixed in the Apple store?? And could i get my screen replaced?

If the damage was caused by abuse like dropping that is not covered by the warranty.
I doubt it. Physical breakage can only happen in three ways: Abuse, accidental damage (dropping on the ground, dropping in water, dropping in the ocean (Yep, that really happened!!), dropping in the toilet, going through the washing machine etc.) or tampering/modifying. Jailbreaking is considered tampering.
What the Apple warranty (and just about every warranty on this planet) covers are problems caused by material defects, or problems caused by errors in manufacturing, and THAT'S IT.
So i cant get it repaired?

so can i get it repaired for free?
Yes if the probem was due to a defect in the iPod. Accidental damage like cause by dropping the iPod or damage from a liquid like water is not covered by the warranty.
What type of damages are not covered by my warranty?
Apple's Limited Warranty for iPod excludes coverage for damage resulting from accident, liquid damage, disassembly, unauthorized service and unauthorized modifications. Please review the warranty for further details. When a service is not covered under the warranty, Apple will return your original iPod to you without providing service, and may hold you responsible for shipping costs, plus any applicable sales tax.
An iPod that is ineligible for warranty service may be eligible for Out-of-Warranty (OOW) Service. For example, an iPod that has failed due to damage or liquid damage is ineligible for warranty service but eligible for OOW service. However, certain damage is ineligible for OOW service, including catastrophic damage, such as the device separating into multiple pieces, and inoperability caused by unauthorized modifications. It has already been explained to you, warranty covers defects due to manufacturing, not damage by you, your mate or the concrete floor it hit, no matter how it was caused.
'Fess up, how did it become damaged? It's not as if you will manage to convince Apple - they know how well they made the iPod, so they're not going to fall for the "it broke" claim.
There are places that repair iPods, Google "iPod repair". However, a dropped and damaged iPod may never be reliable again, even after a repair. Apple do not repair, they simply replace them and if the damage is not covered by warranty, it's really just a matter of buying a new one.
