Q: Ipad A1403 Replacement Program

What is the plan from Apple to provide a replacement for the consumer who purchased iPad A1403 model in the last 90 days.

As per my understanding apple completely modified its cycle of releasing the models after Steve Job. I am very old apple fan and waited for a long time to make this call to purchase the new iPAD.

I have completed the duration of 60 days with this ipad and tried to have a chat with support for the replacement but they just told me that I can get 45 to 50% of the amount I actually paid at the time of purchased.

I dont know but as per my understanding he just gave me an option of recycle program instead of replacement.

I haven't expected this from Apple as a company.

Let me know if you guys are coming across any program of replacement where it can really help people like me.

Thanks,

Bhavik

Why did you start a new thread? There are several threads already active that talk to your issue and question. Search this forum.

I wasn't aware but as every one is not satisfied with apple I don't think that it will be only my thread.. I assume there will be lot many other thread similar in the next few days as Apple has broken its iOS Cycle of 1 yr. and modified it with this release.

At least Company should have some answer to the customer who has purchased recently trusting them.

As it is said "if you don't care for your customer your business will never succeed."

    Stedman,

I would say they owe to consumer and owe an apology.

As if the person who purchased 20 days back you provide him a refund of 40-50 % of the amount he paid you. This is really stupidity.

Customer comes to you as they trust you. This really breaks that trust so i wish better luck to Apple after a loss of Steve Job. I doubt if this company can survive 5 more years in market.

In what possible way does it break the trust? Does your iPad not work as advertised when you purchased it? Or is it just that you don't like the idea that someone else's toys are newer and shinier than yours?

You're probably right, there's no hope for Apple. But here's where your comments might have more impact:

Absolutely. Quick everyone. Sell your Apple stock, and buy stock in RIM. They certainly will not be releasing a new iPad update anytime soon.

You have to make to consumer feel great about a their purchase. If they feel betrayed or whatever...then there is a chance that the consumer will turn against the company, thus loosing revenue in the long term. Building a loyal consumer base is important if you make them feel satisfied.

This was a pretty bad move on Apples side...

Consider those who recently converted from Windows to IOS...just an example.

Guys lets create a poll asking a replacement for newly purchased iPad (3) ? Make it somewhere public where everyone can poll it.

How about somewhere else on the internet outside this user-to-user forum? Out there in that vast world it can recieve the attention it truly deserves.

There's quite a number of online polls out there. Best to get that can be a legit tool for users around the world to cast their votes. This will be the next big thing against them.
