iPhone 5 headphones shocking painfully

As the title suggests, the iPhone 5 headphones have been shocking me quite painfully upons use. They aren't damaged, nor have they bet wet or exposed to water. I want to know if anyone else has had this issue and if there are any fixes.

I've had this happen multiple times but I think it's because of what I was wearing. The first time it happened I was wearing a wool sweater and the last time it happened I was wearing a fleece jacket. All the other times in between I was wearing something fuzzy like infinitiguyapple says. It's static electricity that causes it I'm guessing. It's a known problem, I've had this happen since I had my iPhone 3G and has happened to me as recently as 2 days ago. Keep the line away from your clothing or keep the buds out of your ear if you're wearing something fuzzy.
