Help how do I delete photos from my ipad I have a delete tab but it will not work and Im getting very frustrated with the whole thing an idiots guide would be appreciated

Just as a refresher and for future reference .....
Photos that were taken with the iPad (or any photos in the camera roll) can be deleted right on the iPad. Tap the trash can icon in the top right corner if you are viewing the pho,to in full screen, or if you are viewing as thumbnails - tap the arrow in the upper right corner - tap the photos that you want to delete and then tap - Delete.
Photos that were synced from your computer using iTunes can only be deleted by de-selecting them from the folder from where they were synced - and then re-syncing.
Now .. If you do see the trash can icon and you have have tapped that - and you see the red Delete button - if the app is not responding - close the app completely and then try again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus ➖ sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Go back to the Photos app and try again.
If the app is still "frozen" .... Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Then try again.
