Hi. I'm having problems scanning a document on my Canon MX340. In the preview it shows the whole document, but when the scan is done, it's only a thin line. How can I fix this?

Can't scan a whole document on Canon MX340. Looks fine when it scans but when I try to pull it up on my MacBook to email, it's only a thin line. Help. Why is the whole document not scanning? I've been at it for over an hour and a half 😟
