I have just bought and updated my Mac operating system to 10.8.2, also updating iPhoto (as my mac suggested/requested)... now I dont have the option to share my iPhoto books to idvd... why? what can i do to rectify this?

Purchase iLife 11 (includes iDVD) ON DISK.
IDVD is a wonderful piece of software and well worth the low cost of $40.

Thank you for the advice... my point is why has it been taken out, I have only upgraded not replaced software?!
It is quite frustrating to think that my workflow has been stopped now by a simple element being dropped... which will now cost $40 to fix!!!
I have worked out a way to share my slideshow books...
It's been removed from iPhoto because iDVD is not longer supported or offered by Apple. Glad you found a workaround.
