Whera are the PPD files located

I'm holding down the option key over the "Go" tab at the top of the desktop, going to Library then Printers.

Wrong one. That's the Library folder in your user account. You want the main Library folder. Double click the hard drive's icon on the desktop. The Library folder you want is the one listed alongside Applications, System, Users, etc.

Don't know what to tell you except reinstall the OS.

When I search for the PPD folder I can go as far as Library/Printers....then it just shows the printers I have installed. No other folders. I cannot get to the PPD folder. Any help?

You're probably looking in the Printers folder of your user account. You need to look in the main Library folder.
