My wifi is not working and I have tried all the steps Apple provides that I am allowed to do. The reason why I am unable to do some of them is becaue I live in an apartment and am unable to work with the router. What do I do?

If you tap on the little blue arrow next to the network name in Settings/Wifi/Your network name, can you see the IP address for your device, router, DNS, Serach-Donain, etc? Usually "DHCP" is set to "on"
If not, try to press "renew lease"

Did you compare the network settings on that iPhone with your settings?

Have you ever been able to connect to the router using an iPhone?

I can't do anything with the router because it is the apartment complex's router. My friend has an iPhone 4S and is able to connect to wifi
