Finder won't arrange by kind in OS X Lion

My finder now displays only two sorts, documents and folders, when i try to arrange the files by kind.It piles up every file e.g. movies, pdfs, etc. in the documents.

Earlier it worked fine,i.e. arranged it in movies,music,images,documents,etc.

Any solutions?
